WOLF ROBE
Native American Cheyenne Indian
The foundation of our great American culture was written at the expense of our Native American ancestors. Wolf Robe, a true Cheyenne Indian Chief and warrior, living his legend out in the late 1860's and 70's, was one of these key founding blocks. His courage and pride sculpt into weary lines on his face were borrowed from carefully gathered research and respectfully reproduced in bronze. Feathers worn with pride in a set fashion and mannerism as not only to depict tribe, but also to emphasize rank, courage, age and even what order they were to engage in hunt or battle, as well as the success of the hunt or encounter. Notching of the feathers were as important as the position and angle of wearing these symbols of statement.
